WIRING COMPONENTS - Passive wiring hubs are designed for easy connection of field devices to fieldbus networks. With over 400,000 fieldbus device connections installed, MTL Megablocks and Fieldbus Barrier wiring hubs have an excellent reputation for reliability and ease of use. Spur short-circuit protection ensures the fieldbus segment is not disturbed by spur faults, and comprehensive hazardous area approvals ensures wiring components can be selected for general purpose or hazardous area applications, whatever protection method is used.

PROCESS JUNCTION BOX - The process junction box is a key element in fieldbus architecture, making the connection between the trunk cable and the spurs to individual devices. As a provider of complete fieldbus solutions, MTL has a comprehensive range of enclosures that are designed to house Megablock and fieldbus wiring components and accessories, as well as field-mounted barrier boxes.

SURGE PROTECTION - The MTL Surge Technologies' fieldbus protector range has been designed specifically for fieldbus installations, providing excellent protection while remaining transparent to the digital communication signals. FIELDBUS POWER SUPPLIES - These provide conditioned DC power to the field wiring and devices. Foundation Fieldbus Member logoFOUNDATION fieldbus™ H1 provides an open, nonproprietary fieldbus network for control systems and field instruments. Foundation H1 is intended primarily for process control, field-level interface and device integration. Running at 31.25 kbit/s, the technology interconnects devices such as transmitters and actuators on a field network. H1 is designed to operate on existing twisted pair instrument cabling with power and signal on the same wire and also supports Intrinsically Safe (IS) applications. Each device has its' own "intelligence" and communicates via an all-digital, serial, two-way communications system. MTL provides a comprehensive range of fieldbus power supplies, wiring components, diagnostic tools and displays for FOUNDATION fieldbus H1 networks.

Profibus logoPROFIBUS PA is the version of PROFIBUS for process industry applications. Running at 31.25 kbit/s, the technology interconnects devices such as transmitters and actuators on a field network. Profibus PA uses twisted pair instrument cabling with power and signal on the same cable and also supports Intrinsically Safe (IS) applications.
